Article 5-Citizenship at the commencement of the Constitution

Constitution ke implement hone par, har wo person jiska main home Indian territory me hai or -

(a) jiska India ki territory me birth hua; ya

(b) dono me se kisi parent ka India me birth hua; ya

(c) jo constitution ke implement hone se pehle se kam se kam 5 years se India me ordinarily reh raha hai

India ka citizen hoga.
